Below are some prompts and exercises to help you find community.

Review

What kind of people do you want around you? What do you want to have in common, and where do you want to be different?

What are you actually looking for from a community? Belonging, encouragement, accountability, friendship, inspiration, shared interests, something else?

Where do you currently feel most like yourself around other people? What makes those spaces feel different?

What do you have to offer a community? What could you bring to the table beyond what you hope to receive?

What would your ideal community feel like? Describe the room, the people, the energy, and what you're all doing together.

Practice

Be the Host: invite 3–5 people you like but don't normally spend time together to do something simple. Coffee, dinner, a walk, a movie, a creative afternoon. Don't worry about making it impressive. Just create the space.

Show Up: find an event you wouldn’t normally go to on your own that’s relevant to the kind of community you’re looking for. Attend it with the goal of having 3-5 conversations with new people and see where it leads.

Make the Next Move: yhink of someone you've recently met who you'd like to know better. Make the second move. Invite them somewhere, send them something that made you think of them, or suggest doing something together. Don't wait for them to initiate.
